Namur: Every fan is desperate for more content i think.

I'm not sure about a movie, it could work or not depending on how it's done. I'd get it regardless though so i hope the folks working on it will be able to finish it.

Personnaly right now i'd settle for another book, be it The Book of Marrim or something else...but i'm not counting on it

(btw, there was a bit missing in my previous post, first pharagraph. It's not very important but i edited it to reflect what i intended to say)
I think the movie project seems to have fallen apart, unfortunately. I remember in July that some of the project leaders had disagreemenats with the decision to open the idea up to an adaptation of the Myst universe rather than a straight-forward adaptation of The Book of Ti'ana. It's a shame it sounded like it wouldn't work out, although I would very much doubt that it could find studio funding now, as Myst is a bit of a dead series at this point.

Book of Marrim would be great (and this is coming from someone who didn't even like the books that much) and frankly I'm surprised it hasn't been released in all of these years because you'd think that when Cyan was doing Uru they could have written up a treatment, sent it to David Wingrove, and gotten the book out as a new Myst product in 2003 or somewhere around then. I'm not sure if they have the money to do it now, or if it would be profitable, although I hope it comes out soon. I don't remember much about Marrim from the Book of D'ni but I would be interested in seeing more of the story,

Ok, no problem! Yeah I thought it was a good place for us to both branch out a bit and get a Myst game done at the same time.

Ah, that's unfortunate then. I knew the movie it was alwasy going to be a long term thing so i stopped tracking it for a while, i didn't know there were problems. Pitty, i thought they were on the right track to pull it through seing how they had Cyan's nod of approval and everything.

Cyan doesn't seem to be in a position do much of anything regarding the series at this point unfortunately. Even MOULA, without a steady stream on new content, for the most part is simply a place where folks hang around waiting for something worthwhile to come along, and that unfortunately may never come along. Meetings in the Cavern and stuff would be fine as time filler between content injections but without new content, well, it's...weird.

I'm not sure why they decided not to release the book untill now, i don't even know how much of it was done already, the only thing i've seen from it is the excerpt floating about on the net. MAybe they're holding on to it for some ocasion or event in the future ormaybe they simply aren't interested in releasing it. Either was it's a shame, Marrim's is definitely a story i want to read about.
