I had no problems with this when I first installed the game two days ago, and I remember alot of the puzzles from playing this as a kid, so, anyway... I made it through Channelwood twice, no issues, found both pages, and so on... Then I get back to the Island prep the Rocket Ship, punch the combo on the organ annnnd...nothing... I go to the library, get the info for the Sunken Ship, into the room with the constellations, find those, punch them in order by the miniature ship, and nothing...at all... anyone else have this issue? It just started today, I'm hoping it won't happen again tomorrow... :(

Are you absolutely sure you're doing it right? That organ puzzle is very difficult unless you have a very good ear to hear and memorize it right.

Gamerkought: In the time since that first post, I've actually figured out how to access every age except the Stone Ship Age... I punch in the correct symbols by the little one in the pool, but to no avail...am I missing something?

That puzzle is tricky and can become very frustrating.
If you're really stuck, and you're wondering if the puzzle's not working as it should on account of some bug, maybe try this.

-Move all the sliders to the bottom
-From left to right, this is how you should position the sliders
Slider 1 - 8 knotches up
Slider 2 - 20 knotches up
Slider 3 - 23 knotches up
Slider 4 - 13 knotches up
Slider 5 - 6 knotches up
Try to move the sliders real slow so that you can count the knotches as you move the sliders up.

Namur: At Namur: no dude, the Stone Ship, the sunken ship by the docks, I can't raise it! I've tried the little constellation things near the library, but it's not working...and I started a new game and went straight over to them and activated it no problem....but then I couldn't get to other places...is there a specific order you're supposed to travel to each age in..?

Make sure the only buttons activated are: leaf, snake and beetle. If any button besides these 3 is activated the ship won't raise.
To check which buttons are activated:
Not activated buttons, will turn red when you place the cursor over them
Activated buttons, will turn green when you place your cursor over them
If you're activating the correct 3 buttons the model ship in the fountain and the ship at the dock should raise.
Edit:
If you're still having trouble, i've uploaded a save game to media fire. It's a clean save where nothing has been done yet except for raising the ship.

The file is inside the 7zip so you'll have to extract it and place it in the SAVEGAME folder.

I have myst masterpiece on cd & have never been able to solve the piano tone puzzle.
So I have never completed myst. i purchased real myst from gog as I thought the piano puzzle looked a bit different. I was wrong, listening to the tones didn't help me & counting the slider, however I finally solved it. Turn down the speed of mouse to slowest setting.
This worked for me straight away,allows you just to move the mouse one notch at a time.
What a relief to finally solve it.

I figured out those numbers myself but I can't complete the puzzle no matter what. This is not a puzzle, it's a torture.
The number of notches are numbered counting the bottom one as 1 or as 0? I've tried both versions with no luck.

It doesn't matter as it's not 'move them to position X' but 'move them up X number of times'.
So, using the left most slider as an example. Make sure it's all the way down, then move it up 8 times/knotches.
And, yes, that puzlle is a bit tricky if you can't do it by ear.
