Gleipnir3: Ah frackin hell and by the Lords Of Kobol, I got so damn excited.... Welp! *Continues to reinstall Dark Souls 3*

Mawthra: Can never go wrong with more Dark Souls (:
Yer right about that! Now if only there was a Sci-Fi space exploration game that combined the Harvest Moon/Portia/Stardew builders/Relationship/Farming formula, had a grimdark and complex story like Dark Souls, and smooth control and combat say like "ME:Andromeda" ((Look that game was lackluster but the combat was smoother than ice.)). That would be perfect...

Someone call CD Projekt Red....

Andromeda I actually liked... played/finished all the ME games and, yah, it was a bit off from the rest of the games, I still loved the premise of colonizing a galaxy

And get Dark souls here while at it. I've been hearing so much good about it, I wouldn't mind trying it myself.

Hooooooboi, bro(or sis) it's fucking great. Take Rythym based combat, a deep and complex story, items and gear that when read give more information bit by bit on other story elements, amazing music, great artwork, good animation, all round a great experience. it is challenging, it does not hold your hand like at all, there is subtle things with other characters that can go bad or good and you will never know it unless you pay extreme attention to detail. It's just, *Italian hand* a dish of the best.

But what makes it good is also it's problem. For the casual, it's got a hard curve and harder to grasp reason of being. It takes time to get into it, and multiple playthroughs to experience all the content. All three games are worth the money, but be warned, if you're gonna buy it on PC, use a controller. Like 100%, the game is a lot better with controller instead of mouse+KB.

In the end I'd say look it up, watch some vids, and see if you'd like it or not.

I think that's why I put a good 1000 hours or so into Andromeda. While it suffered in the main plot, I really fell in love with the planets, exploring, and the combat. The progression felt right, and I enjoyed the Open Ended Class System. Like really, my only problem with the game was the main story. I was expecting a Star Trek-ish take on exploration and science, not "Collectors 2.0:". I only call it lackluster because of the main story. But I still love it to bits :D

Okay, I got some promising news... FINALLY got a response from Team17 and this was their message:

There have been some development delays with regards to the GOG and Epic Games store updates for My Time At Portia, but rest assured we are working hard to get these updates ready and released as quickly as possible.

In the future, once all versions have achieved parity, it’s our hope that we’ll be able to release all PC patches simultaneously.

So that's at least some good news regarding keeping the game up-to-date... let's hope they follow through on it!

I got the same message. At least they replied... but to me it sounds like a generic CYA response... not holding my breath
Exact word for word? Hmm, don't like that. Copy and Paste replies tend to mean "Shouldering off".

Let's hope they keep their word.

The wording was very specific to the issue, though... so maybe they copy/pasted a previous message from someone who contacted them about the same issue

Possibly. Normally I expect personality behind the emails. But not every company can be CDPR. So I maybe I'm being too pessimistic over a small issue.

Either way. Only time will tell if they will keep their word or not. Let's hope for the best.
Hello Ulf,

Thanks for reaching out to us. We are sorry for the delay in hotfixes. We updated both the Epic and Gog store versions of My Time At Portia yesterday.

You can find the Changelist here: https://www.gog.com/forum/my_time_at_portia/my_time_at_portia_v10_patch_1_changelist_inside

My apologies for any inconvenience.

This is my answer I got. The last paragraph has a few bugs, so it's double and parenthesized.

My support request does not refer to any problems, just the missing updates / fixes.

It's a canned response, but modified by human to somewhat match the situation. Not sure what to make of it, other than they confirmed that they know about the problem, and maybe probably are going to do something about it.

And that their support line may be staffed by like 1 person trying to answer 100s mails about missing updates, so he/she doesn't have the luxury to spend 10 minutes proofreading each of the replies. We can only wait and see now.
In any case, it was answered and not kept silent. That should also be credited positively. Apart from that, there was an update this week, which is outdated, but shows their efforts. ;-)

Sounds promising indeed. Clearly just a copy-paste response, but better than silence. Therefore I now tend to be optimistic.
Well, maybe they're making good on that statement... Steam hasn't gotten any patches in 3 days... could be they are trying to get their platform pipelines lined up to deliver on all three stores simultaneously

Hoping that's the case!
