So I have been playing the original through (gog version) and I am stuck do to a number of what must be buggs...I want to know is there any patches/mods specifially for M&B original that fix these bugs and/or are these bugs fixed in warband(is it worth buying it if its playable)~
#1 NPCs can travel around and fight battles outside of a town without ending the seige, but you cannot. This makes things extremely difficult
#2 NPCs wont listen to you. Not for long.
#3 When you have an enemy faction down to their last town, all of their lords will respawn there over and over no matter how many times you kill them...and they regenerate their armies basically instantly.
#4 If you are the marshall, and you tell them to call the army together etc...they don'T. THey just never do. THey run around chasing peasants and bandits or jsut sit in their castles.
The best I can do so far is ask the lords to follow me one by one. They do so as long as I avoid anything that they want to fight...which is basically everything.
Basically I have an ever-regeneration 20 lord army that respawns over and over, lords that wont listen for more than two minutes. Since its the factions last town they send out a caravan every couple hours ,and any lords I drag to the town with me (with great effort) just run off after the caravan and also the town tends to send out a few lords every once in awhile...that's not too bad if it gives me a chance to kill the lords in the open field (easier than in the castle) but they jsut regenerate and my lords seem to forget that we are trying to beseige/they need to follow me...so they run off at the drop of a hat basically...and I can't go toalk to them without ending the seige, and starting over on the seige tower...which means another long period of time they will probably run off before I am done anyway.
There is another half-dozen annoying bugs but this is all that comes to mind at this moment. Basically there seems to be no legitimate way to kill a faction. No fations ever really take towns from eachother or seriously attack a castle. Your own faction also is completley useless on their own, and don'T follow any kind of directions.
ANyway if anyone has any advice how to fix and/or work around these bugs I'd appreciate it.
