So guys, I have been playing M&B original and after I win battles,I get prisoners under my control. The problem is I've been told that you could persuade these said prisoners into your party.I've also searched it up,but people only say something about persuading them through your camp. However, the only options available for me(in the camp) is either "taking an action","wait for sometime",or "resume traveling". I've been wondering if I could hire some of these prisoners,it would really do me a lot of good.Could someone tell me how I can recruit these prisoners to my party?Any help would be appreciated!

Could be it's a Warband addition, can't remember.
Anyway, it's under "take an action" in the camp menu.
Same place where "select a book to read" is, if you have bought a book to read.
Ok,so I got it.The whole thing came in war band,I suppose, because I don't see any option like that in the camp.Anyway, thanks for the reply, will mark it as solution.........

No, it's in the original, too. But, yeah, you have to access the option from the Camp menu while not in a town. I haven't played in a while, so I don't recall exactly how it works, but I HAVE done it, once or twice (and I do not own, nor have I ever played, any other M&B title).
You obviously have to have slots available in your party to try this, and there's no guarantee the prisoners will even accept. Be aware that your army's morale will generally decrease if you recruit from your prisoners, and those that DO join you will often run off during the night some time later. Not a good option unless you're desperate, in other words. : )
Yeah, it's better to sell your own prisoners and recruit from the enemy's prisoners instead, cause they don't hate you.
AFAIK, it's a one time hit to the morale when you recruit and then troops are liable to start deserting once the morale is low. Morale also drops gradually whenever you don't do anything. Don't know any other remedy to that except fighting and winning.

Lots of modules have alternatives to improving morale. Like getting the bartender to throw a feast for your troops.

But yeah, generally not worth it in official campaign to recruit from prisoners.
Was there even a honor penalty or something?

Though, if you really want those 5 swadian knights, just go for it.
Thanks for the replies, guys!Really appreciate it.I don't care that much about the one-time morale decrease, but yeah, the deserting-part is a problem ,because I don't have any castles at the moment to garrison them in(for the time period).
Anyways, about what HunchBluntley said,I will try to do that, but as far as I recall,I didn't had any option like that in the camp menu.Once again, thanks for replying. :)

It is just a one-time morale drop when you first recruit the prisoners (as opposed to a slow morale "leak" for as long as they're in your party), but the specific soldiers (or bandits, or whatever) you recruited from your prisoners will usually try to run off sooner or later, even if the party still has excellent morale overall.

I just went into the game, captured some prisoners quickly, and...yeah, I see what you mean. No option for me to recruit them, either, currently -- but, like I said, I know it's possible, 'cause I've done it! I thought it might be done from the "Talk" option in the Party screen, but nothing there, either. Maybe it's conditional, I don't recall.... :|

Thanks for clarifying, it's been about forever since I've played base M&B, or even Warbands official campaign.
And never got a clear picture of mechanics underneath anyway..
Yeah.......thanks for explaining that, guys!I sure need to get Warband real quick. Can't miss out that extra faction.Anyways,I really appreciate all of your help! :D
