brunozmendes: Thank you! This patch is amazing but I can't make my dualshock 4 work properly with the game, I've tried using DS4Windows which makes it recognizable but the buttons are all wrong and under the mapping options the buttons aren't lighting up like the unpatched GOG version.

It would be awesome if GOG implemented the fixes from this kommunity patch while maintaining their controller detection solution.

CheesusWept: I suggest playing the DOS version. I will probably remove xinput support from the Windows version as it seems to make things worse for non-xbox controller users.

I'll keep looking for a solution to map the dpad (pov hat) to the left joystick.
For some reason the DOS version gives me a very inconsistent frame rate with slowdowns all over the place, I've tried to increase / decrease cycle counts within DOSBox with no results.

The WIN version works flawlessly excluding the fact that I'm not able to properly use my dualshock 4.
Thank you so much I just bought Mk Trilogy for pc and it wouldn't work with a controller but as soon as I patched it everything was flawless

I left a comment saying I couldn't config the controllers but they're actually all right there. You may have to to close out of GOG, plug in the controller you want to use, then start GOG back up. I did that and I was able to config my controller. You also have plenty of options to config with a keyboard as well. At first, I thought you could only use the arrows and number pad, but you have to scroll up and down to see the rest of the key options.

I wish I could delete my comment but I'm not sure if there's an option. I haven't used this new patch and so if it works for you, then awesome, but without the patch. The game seems to run just fine for me and I'm able to freely config the controls too.

I was hoping for a remaster of Trilogy, but I'm completely fine with this new port for now. I just hope NRS has something in store for the fans come October for their 30th Anniversary.

panteric: I thought you were done making patches for this game but its great to see it still rolling and now have a GOG version of the game. Of course great to see this patch will also work with GOG. I suppose the files in this version are exactly the same as the Windows/DOS release so even if a person has this release you could use it with DOS as long as the proper DOS executable is there?
I got pretty bored in 2020. So, I decided to fix the longstanding framerate issues with the port. Yep, the right DOS hardware config should be able to run the DOS version. I know of someone doing that in an arcade cabinet oddly enough.

I was able to replicate this issue with another one of my xbox pads. Add me if you are interested in testing.

PlayerGOG2020: Doesn't work with dx configurator.
The patch is using dgvoodoo.

Very odd about dosbox. Maybe I shouldn't have set cycles to max? I'm hoping to have the Windows version at least work with DS4Windows. Let me know if you want to try the patch prior to release.

Karanthir_666: It doesn't fully support gamepad. Work only D-pad and 4 buttons (ABYX). Rest is inactive. And i cannot quit from the game. I have to shut down process.
EDIT. Pad work. But must be set on DirectInput not XInput.
Could you explain how to access it? i cant seem to find a way to do so.

Yeah I'm also having issues with the DOS version and its framerate drops. Also seems to be a sensitivity issue with the dpad but it may also be related to the framerate issue. Anyways sometimes when you press a button on the dpad it seems to act as if it was pressed twice. You can see this in the character selection screen as well as the options. Windows version works perfectly and I suppose any controller that doesn't have a axis trigger may work well but that maybe hard to come by.

Thank you for all your support, I would gladly try that patch to see if DS4+DS4Windows works :)

CheesusWept: I've updated the "Kommunity Patch" to support the GOG release. As far as I can tell, there are quite a few crashes unpatched in their release.

Some of the features that differ from the GOG release:

*Removes 200+ Windows version crashes
*Corrects framerate to 60fps (no dropped or delayed frames)
*Round announcement fix
*Skips intro corporate logos
*Restores "Chameleon Wins" sound sample
*Updates miscellaneous text in the game
*DirectPlay is completely optional
*Windows TCP/IP LAN networking without any IPX wrapper
*Includes DOS & Windows versions with equivalent fixes

It will remain compatible with the PC, Saturn and PS1 releases as well.

Available here (can't post links yet): cubanraul.altervista.org/mkt/
Thank you!

Thank you. This is fantastic work.

Is there anyway to get rid of the fullscreen blur with this pactch in the Win version? Or do Integer Scaling like the GoG version? I'd prefer to play with this patch since it fixes the framerate, but the blur on fullscreen with the Win version is a bit nasty.

You can edit the "Resampling" setting in dgvoodo.conf to: "pointsampled"

You will probably also want to set "ScalingMode" to "stretched_4_3" or "stretched_ar"

Otherwise it will look even more blurry.

As far as I know you can use any controller with the DOS version. As for Windows version the Xinput has issues. I am using a Gravis or other controllers that don't use axis for the L2 - R2 or Trigger. The game can't detect axis for trigger use cause there was nothing like that back then. Maybe there's a fix but I am not quite sure you'll find one.

As great as the bug fixes are, why do you use " TCP/IP Netplay"? It just plain doesn't work at all. Always crashes the game upon connection. Is there a single person who can get that working? I have yet to find any info on that. Can't even find info on the guy who created it. No posts, no videos, nada. I've been trying to get that working for over a year no with the same crashes repeatedly and no progress.

Just wanted to extend my thanks once again. I downloaded the new version you did and allowing users to swipe the GoG DX stuff was perfect. Fixed my controller issues and I'm also assuming that is why it is no longer blurry in full screen without me having to edit anything. You rock.
