Is there any way to skip the first part of the game, say, start after you get the ship at Stan's? I've played through most of this before and really don't want to do the pirate trials again.

For the original versions, you can download some save files from this website: https://legendofmi.com/downloads/savedgames/mi1/

If you're using the Special Edition (the one sold on GOG), there are probably save files available somewhere but I haven't found them yet. However, I do have one save from my own playthrough that happens to be just after getting the ship at Stan's, so if you are interested I could send it to you.

Yes, that would be fantastic! I don't think I can handle going through the pirate duels again.

Ah, the insult swordfighting is my favorite part. :D
