So I found that the game tries to send info to a certain server every time the game is launched. what information is sent?
Why does a single player game need to do that

I think this had been commented by the author, the telemetry isn't part of the geme, it's a feature of the game engine used in the development of the game (similar to what unity games do), unfortunately, games with these kind of engines are forced to have telemetry, it's the main problem of this era of digital information, several other games do this, and this is the main reason, not even game programmers can disable this "feature", but i think it normally does't send info not related to the performance of the game itself

It's a shame that happens and it is probably not even legal to do that without asking permission in the EU, by the way. Not that I'm going to do anything about it, just waving my fist at the sky for the sake of it.

You can always block the program's internet access or in the worst scenario unplug the cable. This is why I buy every game here or on Itch.io, being DRM free means I can do this and the game will still launch. Obviously Steam doesn't offer this kind of freedom.
