I tried the demo just now. Story and characters seemed interesting and game seemed otherwise nice, but I did find one complaint. I thought that the character movement was occasionally bit awkward looking and glitchy. I hope it's just the demo and it will be fixed in the final game.

I came here just to say the same thing. The main character (Malachi) 's walking motion is all kinds of weirdness. It seems it is just an anomaly of the game engine and don't think it can be fixed. But if that's the worst thing in the game then I don't mind. Btw, that dartboard puzzle is another clever concoction by Jane Jensen.
Here is the strange walking motion in the demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHjfUJU9B9A

But the surprising thing is the if I play the demo in 3D using 3D Vision glasses and monitor, the walking motion LOOKS NORMAL. Here is a capture of the demo when I played it in 3D. I converted the image to 2D so everyone can see it. This has to be the strangest feature (bug?) I have ever seen.

That is really weird. The movements look so much better in 3D.
The demo also doesn't exit properly. This video shows what happens. When I try to exit, the screen turns black, with the on-screen items still clickable. I can still see the text labels for "alley", "bar", etc., except that the screen is black. If I click on a link that exits to another location (e.g. "Exit to bar"), the video comes back on. If I try to exit the game again, the same thing happens. So that means I can't exit, and have to press Ctrl-Alt-Del to bring up Windows Task Manager to end the game's executable.

I didn't encounter that problem. But I encountered a bug where Malachi, who was moving from one edge of room to another, froze for a few seconds, then he suddenly disappeared and reappeared on the other edge of the screen.
I usually don't care much about graphics. But in context to the rest of the artwork in Moebius I have to say that the animations gave me rather weak impression. How frustrating it must be for the animators if this is something caused by the engine.

If I'm not mistaken, the game is being made by the same team that developed the king's quest 9 fan-game. Which I think used Torque, an engine originally made for the Tribes-series (FPS).

As for overall impressions: I thought the demo was fairly entertaining, but I'm not dying to hear how the rest of the story goes. Hope I'll be positively surprised when the full game is out.

If it happens when you double-click on the screen, then I think it is normal. Adventure games nowadays let you "fast travel" by double-clicking.

It wasn't fast travel, but the game froze for a while (about 10 seconds) and I was already prepared to hit ctrl+alt+del when it started working again, but it skipped some of the animation.
Hey, I found the cause and solution for the strange walking motion. It is caused by my monitor's 120 Hz refresh rate. I changed it to 60 Hz and the walking motion looked normal, just as it looked in 3D. The reason 3D looked normal because 3D creates 60 Hz images.
Yeah we haven't ever been able to figure out why the 120hz thing has such an odd effect on the walking animation. We'll continue to try and sort that one out though. One of the stranger things I've ever encountered.

Man, those adventure games sure are an uphill battle!
