My fellow Kyosians! It's been a while since we posted a major update (and these gargantuan pauses between updates are a bad habit that I promise to get out of in 2023), but the work has been going on, and I'd love to share the details about our progress with you. Since the update is, as usual, pretty big with a lot of media, I suggest checking out our Kickstarter version of it, which can be found here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/u7committee/minotaur-a-point-and-click-visual-novel/posts/3698522

Here's a short summary of its most important points in the meantime:

1) We plan to release our next big update in February! It will include:

- An extended demo of Thea's route (2/3 of the entire route)
- Richie's route path A (please note - an already accessible beta of it is mentioned in the update, but it's not working on GOG yet; we'll make sure that it's playable within the next few days!)
- A number of quality of life improvements, including the highly requested auto-dialogue option
- An updated chapter select screen

2) Our small committee has grown! A wonderful new member - Rokari - has joined us recently, which allows us to work faster in general, plus his programming expertise enables us to add more complex features to the game (such as auto-dialogue mentioned above, as well as controller support and potentially a dialogue log)!

3) The update also contains a number of screenshots and other details about Thea's route. Thanks to your support and amazing patience, its full release is in sight, and we should be able to set the date in that February update that I mentioned above!

And that's that! As always, don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions... An in the meantime, we really hope that you're looking forward to Thea's route!

Love,

Nick & u7committee

My fellow Kyosians! I've been trying to make a post about our new update, but alas, all my attempts failed. I'll get in touch with GOG support about it, but for the meantime, on the off chance that somebody discovers this message, here's the link to the Kickstarter version of the update:

Hello everyone! I wanted to let you know that we finally released a major update - not only does it include a lot of info on the development progress, but it's also a content update with new playable chapters and various new game features! As for the update itself, it contains a lot of media as usual, so I suggest checking it out on our Kickstarter page. In regard to the new content though, we're currently working out some last-minute issues with the new in-game features in relation to GOG (namely controller support and save system update), but I'll make sure to upload the new build to the beta branch here as soon as we're done (and update this topic to let you know).

Love,

Hello everyone! The beta build is finally live, with all issues (hopefully) having been fixed! A couple of GOG-specific notes regarding controller support: just like I mentioned in the update, the XInput controllers should work fine, but since we don't support DirectInput controllers (yet, at least), there are two workarounds you can use if you'd like to play with one:

1) Use a DS4Windows tool: https://ds4-windows.com/ - no need to change any mappings or settings, "Default" layout should work fine

2) Add Minotaur to Steam (as a non-Steam game) and launch it from there while still using its DirectInput tool (and following the steps described in the update, i.e. enabling Steam Input and selecting "Gamepad" layout in controller configurator templates under Minotaur's "Properties" > "Controller")

Either method should work for most DirectInput controllers, but based on my tests, some can still require #2 (like Switch Pro controller, for example), or perhaps some other software - please let us know if you have any suggestions!

Cheers!

hello, any news about the release of the latest patch on GOG? It has already been presented on Steam, and some people can't wait here :-) Even if there is a beta, I will still play it. Regards!

Hey @BigFatRock, I'm very glad that you'd like to check the beta out! But it's already been live on GOG for a while, just like I announced in the message you replied to! Just in case, the password for the beta branch remained the same, it's: Sungatesettlement

I hope you enjoy the new content, and please let me know if you run into any issues!

Cheers!
