Im wondering how to pass this door in Tomb of VARN. (assuming im supposed to go there)

You need to find scrolls in the Tomb that will trigger passwords from each pond.

Can you be more specific? (About where you are and how you got there.) EDIT. I think I've guessed from the screenshot where you are, but if I remember correctly you can get there along a tunnel, at the lowest level of the dungeon, only to find your way blocked. To open the door you must do something up above (after which you'll be able to drop back down to the same spot). Look all around for chests (and other places) containing keys and/or scrolls, then go back to find places where you can use them. (Read the scrolls for passwords to type in when and where prompted.)

And yes, you very much are supposed to go there!

PS In a big room where people take radiation damage, did you find the instruction, on a plaque beneath a picture, "The Well of VARN must be keyed last"? And on the opposite side, "Only the one bearing the key may speak the code."
