Yeah... Shame to ask this, but I tried reading the pdfs it came with it, but it never tells you how to shut off the game properly. So how do you shut off the game without resorting to task manager?

Just quit DosBox. AFAIK the only file that ever gets altered is ROSTER.DAT, so make sure you save at an Inn first.

This going to sound stupid and I am sorry. I am not use to dosbox at all. So how do I shut that off without using task manager?

Alt+Q quits the game (there is no confirmation prompt).

Many other old games have similar combinations of Alt or Ctrl with X or Q when there is no visible exit option shown. Exiting usually won't have a confirmation prompt for these games.

For games that really have no option, instead expecting you to reset the computer to exit (I can't think of any off-hand) you can kill DOSBox with Ctrl+F9, but of course you'd want to use the game's own option whenever one exists to be on the safe side.

Just so you know, I never learned what the quit command was, so I just always closed DOSBox when I was done, and I never had any problems. The game is saved as soon as you sign in at an inn, so you can just quit DOSBox after that with no problems. So you don't really need to worry about it, although it is good to know the correct command to quit the game.

Enjoy the game! I liked it a lot more than I expected... it really is a classic.
