Hi everyone,
I love MM since i was a teenager, back when I had to install MM 3 with floppy discs and had to fiddle with EMS and XMS memories via a boot disc. Ahhh, the good times... not!

Anyway, i wanted to have a take to MM VI once again, and maybe go to MM VII and the others after that. So, I reinstalled it clean from GOG and looked up for fan patches, because I knew there were some.

Of course I quickly found GrayFace's patches page and downloaded it, along with the mouselook archive. Set it up quickly, launched a game and, voilà! worked perfectly. Had the mouselook with the small mouselook cursor in the screen.

Until today.

I played this morning, as usual. When I fired it again, "auto" mouselook was gone and since then I have to "manually" activate it each time I want to use it, and it resets each time I change screen (inventory, options, back to game, etc.), plus, while in mouselook mode, the mouselook cursor has vanished.

I haven't touched any thing in any file on my whole computer since i've played this morning, so I haven't the faintest idea where the problem can come from...

Could anybody point me out to the right way to get back my permanent mouselook with the cursor? It would be greatly appreciated!

Question: when you say installed clean, do you mean with the downloaded offline backup installer, or did you use GoG Galaxy? Because from what I've read, Galaxy is patch-unfriendly: it likes to "repair" the game you have "corrupted".

Do you have tried to set

MouseLook=1

in the mm6.ini file?

Perhaps after each restart the value is forced back to zero.

I used Galaxy. Could be the reason, then, but I'd be a little surprised since I've played 5h in the span of 3 days before the problem popped up.

Might be worth a try, still!

I checked and the MouseLook=1 stays on 1, always.

Okay, Looks like it did the trick! Thank you! Even if I don't know how long it will last: even if I unstalled the game via the off-line installer, on another HDD than Galaxy, it is still automatically detected and integrated by Galaxy... So I unchecked the "keep automatically updated" option, I'll see what happens...

Thanks again!
