I've tried four times now to install the Might and Magic 6-Pack on my 64-bit Windows 7 system. Not only do the games not run in DOSBox, the install fails every single time. I get an error message involving access problems and missing directories.

Since I've downloaded the game multiple times, I don't think it's a problem with the download.
Is there a special file that I need to get? Why does the problem only persist with MM6?

And what about the other games? I can't get them to run at all.

I'd attach a picture of the exact error, but I'm re downloading the files... again. Can anyone help me?

Make sure you run the install program with Administrator rights - and try installing into a folder outside of Program Files

I'll try that and report back.

Here's the install error message:

EDIT: Nope. Still jack squat. Same error message. I paid money for this?

I have installed the 6-pack without any problems on my machine, so I know the installer works. Your error message is indeed a permissions problem, which should have been solved when you run it as admin. However, a quick google gives the following result.

This one should solve your problem.

Thank you! That does clarify a bit. However, even after going into regedit and changing permissions all the way from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths it still pops up with the same error message, and as an added bonus, the mm6.exe file the error originally talks about is nowhere to be found.
I fixed it! It was a problem with my antivirus software. Turned it off, installed the program, now it works fine!

Thanks for the help, guys!
