I put Vile Biters ash's in the large tomb at the back, and that didn't solve quest , I found a niche up near the entry with a lil plinth type place for an urn, that didn't solve it.

Exactly which is the correct tomb, I was sure it was one of the 2 above, and do you have to place it in a special area in tomb or is floor fine

Oh apparently I can't count cause I thought I was playing MM7 (:

Nope, floor is not fine. You have to reach the lowest level of the tomb and then find a room with stoneslabs (north) and click the farthest slab. It'll be done automatically - you don't have to open your inventory or anything. And you will get a massage that confirmes that you put him at rest
