Bookwyrm627: What did 3, 4, and 5 have?

Sarisio: Moo, Yak, Bark :)
And in 6, somebody actually makes a reference to these when discussing Baa.

Which one did they have in 9?

Edit: Rather, What did they have in 9?

In MM 9 there was Honk :))
Nothing in 7, was there?

EDIT: by the way, I confirmed that the dead extra dragons stay dead when you re-hit the trigger.

Looks like MM7 shared Baa.

Correct, MM7 also used Baa; you have to raid a Supreme Temple of Baa (or something like that) for some quest objective. I believe it was one of the objectives both Light and Dark had (eliminate the last power base of the Kreegan).
Right, I forgot about that one.
Unfortunately the quest giver to kill all dragon's is telling me I haven't killed all of them even after killing everything outside :(

Tomorrow I'm going to kill everything in the cave again. With no reloads and no going outside.
So reloaded and did the cave for the third time. First killed all the dragons outside. Then entered the cave and did it in one go with no reloading, exiting or even resting (though I think resting would have been fine). It's not so difficult once you figure out each dragon's type behaviour.

This seemed to work. Quest completed, and re-entering the cave does not repopulate it.
Finally done with the buggy area. Note to all: doing entering the restricted areas in strongholds is best done in one go.

Not all that's left to do is to give the alliance item to Charles Quixote, and Bob's my uncle.
A different small issue now. It seems that the two egg cutscenes do not play properly.

Others have the same problem
http://www.gog.com/forum/might_and_magic_series/might_and_magic_viii_issue_cutscene_not_playing

All other cutscenes play fine.

I've attached a save file from just before delivering the egg to Quixote. Could anyone please check if it's an issue with all GOG versions of the game?

Meanwhile I'll watch the cutscenes on youtube.

Change extension from jpg to zip.

Thanks

I'll try to remember to do so when I'm home.

Well... those cutscenes were... interesting.

What are the first three words that the dragon says in his?

"Though they live and breathe, my enemies can be counted among the dead."

Edit: I assume it is "Though [they] live...", but it sounds like "Though [I] live..." to me.

Thanks! I was hearing "something something breed..." and thought he was saying something about the egg.

He's promising a royal ass-whupping to the uppity slayers that dared to hunt his people and hold his heir hostage. I've always had a bit more sympathy for the dragons than the slayers in this case. :)
