How do I reverse the unnatural ageing that occurs in the game when encountering certain monsters
I'd also like to know what's the best way to pass by or kill the Oozes.
Thanks

I think the only way to reverse unnatural aging is with the black rejuvenation potion. I wouldn't worry too much about it, though. Most likely you'll only suffer a few years by the end of the game.
Slimes (and diamond gargoyles) can only be harmed by magic, but that also includes the extra elemental damage on enchanted weapons. Attacking with a weapon won't deal any physical damage, but if it adds 3-8 fire damage, the slime will take 3-8 damage from the attack. I usually hold on to elemental weapons for that reason, but honestly, I prefer to avoid the slimes altogether if I can.

I need to correct two points of the above poster:
1) Do NOT drink black rejuvenation potions - they lower all stats by 1 PERMANENTLY.
Instead, wait until you're strong enough to journey to the fountain in Hermit's Isle, which rejuvenates you with no side effects.
2) Slimes(Oozes) can only be harmed by Fire, Cold, and Lightning.
Poison elemental damage (that includes Poison Spray, Acid Burst, Toxic Cloud and Dragon Breath) will do 0 damage to them.
"Magic" elemental damage (all clerical damaging spells, Mass Distortion, Prismatic Light, Moon Ray) will not work either.
I too recommend weapons enchanted with Fire, Cold, or Lightning, preferably bows (Master bowmen will get twice the elemental bonus!)

Yes, but the stat loss is virtually meaningless, especially given the rarity of aging effects. I don't think I knew about the fountain, though, so thanks for pointing that out.

Thanks for the info. About the Oozes. I'm just trying to figure out how to get past them in the Dragoon Caverns. I thought of using the jump spell but don't know where to get it.

I remember having a similar problem, deciding I needed to come back when I was more powerful, and then totally forgetting about it until the end of the game, when I was already way too good to get any benefit out of it. I think the main issue is that one doesn't have good enough offensive magic when one first visits the Dragoon Caverns. Once you get some better spells, consider coming back and duking it out with the slimes. And as others have said, weapons enchanted with elemental damage will help, because your non-spellcasters can also do damage.
I'm not sure if the Jump spell would work... probably better to just use damaging spells, once you find some better ones.

Well, I tend to use lots of Divine Cure and Divine Magic potions (100 is a lot better than 10), so unnatural aging can definitely stack up.
To the above poster: The problem is not the lack of good spells (fire bolt, and most especially Sparks work great vs slimes), the problem is the lack of MP or MP regeneration items at that point in the game.

You're probably right... it's been a while since I played MM6. But couldn't one just retreat and rest a lot to get around that?
The most important thing to be said: there is NOTHING worth the trouble. So leave them alone.
