Sorry just another random question. In Pinehurst dungeon what do these 2 signs at the entrance mean. I would think that they would refer to the doors in the main hall with no text above them, but these doors are in no way more deadly than the other ones...

I always assumed it meant the unmarked passages, too. Although some marked doors are deadly, all of the unmarked ones are. Perhaps that's it?
But it's quite the opposite; one unmarked leads to the throne room, and the other to the bishop. Not really deadly in any way. The top 2 lead to the maze, but aren't in any way more deadly than the others....

I think a mistake on the programmers' part? There is a deadly passage at the top (each square with a monster) but it is one of the 'marked' ones.
I think the signs might just be intentionally misleading. Perhaps designed to funnel intruders into traps, rather than into the throne room? It's certainly a strangely designed castle no matter how you look at it.

And in fact I was wrong. The "deadly" path up north (the one with every monsters) is one of the unmarked ones. So it's possible it's intentionally misleading - 1 of the unmarked ones is the deadly one, the other ones are safe, including the ones you take to get to the bishop and the throne room...
