Been sitting for 2 hours now trying to get it to work. I actually have played it before on Windows 7. But now it simply crashes on start up. I have tried changing compatability, changing administration start. Changing resolution, installing greyface. Nothing works. I am so close to demand a refund
It crashes and says internal error and something about no D3D files being created when I started it first time.

//Very mad.

One question: do you have the game installed in Program Files folder? If so - reinstall the game somewhere else and as a general rule avoid installing GOG games in Program Files.

Even if you have the game somewhere else try reinstalling the game. It might help too

Try changing the video options - run MM7Setup.exe and experiment a bit, especially with video/window option

If nothing works could you write more about the type of an error? Full text and numbers that are displayed there would be very useful. It's hard to find a solution with a short description.

EDIT: try changing the audio options too! I've just checked that some internal errors may come from it as well

Tried reinstalling (for third time now..) on my SSD, and I had it installed in GOG-folder...
I have tried windowed, full screen, no 3d sound, 3d sound, 256 colors, 95 mode, 2000 mode, XP Mode..

I screen shotted the errors!

Those errors mean there is a problem talking to the video card which could be caused by missing some DirectX compatibility files (try installing the latest DirectX End-User Runtimes) and/or a problem with the video card driver.

Anyway, try the DirectX update and see if that fixes it.

I do believe I did that last night, will retry again though... However, after installing GreyFace Patch, I get this.

I know it's pretty frustrating trying all those combinations but could you try running Software 3D video option without grayface patch?

I'll try to do some tests soon, perhaps I will find something else
I don't even have the ability to choose that.. I will try updating graphic cards driver.. AS I mentioned earlier, it has worked before!

You should! As I said before, run MM7Setup.exe not the game itself. Is setup program not working as well?
For the first time you run the game (and also the setup) try also right click and select "Run as Administrator". I'm not sure if you always have to run as that (so you need to change the link setting too).

But only if you know what you are doing (we are talking about admin account here).
always run MM7setup.exe first and always select the software 3D video option. In my experience 9 out of 10 times this solves any problems. I personally have had no problems running MM6-8 on my Windows 7 64bit machine.
Another option to consider is going backwards for video card drivers. I don't see a video card listed, but if you do a Google search on your video card like "{video card} device driver issues", you might run across advice about older driver versions that might be more generally compatible. While most times, an up-to-date driver is the best answer, there have certainly been times that the driver manufacturers have screwed something else up in the update process. This might explain why it at one time worked.
