Hi, I'm just starting out in this game and I can't get past the menus. I've made my 6 characters and press control and their letter, but it doesn't work. I can't add anyone to a group. Also I've gone to Let's Plays and I've seen their option to add or remove members, I don't have that option at all. What am I doing wrong?

It sounds like you've missed a step; you have to choose a town through the main menu before you can make a party. This applies to both MM1 and MM2.

I click go to town and there aren't any options. Can you go through the process after creating a character?
I just figured it out. I needed to press 1 to get into the Inn party member selection screen. Thank you for the help.

Yeah the number keys are used to select which town you want to start from. If your party visits another town and you save there, then when you boot the game up again you'll have to select that town's inn to find them. The town numbers are given in the manual.
