Hi:Im stuck on misty island,66 gold,and cannot get off the island.Dont mind restarting,but would rather not.Also is there any way of making some serious cash at the begining.and what are the best characters to create.thankyou,i found this game more fun then the others,and more clear.

From Mist, I guess you mean MM6.
To get away from the island, you could kill some Followers of Baa or Cutpurses.
More in general, if you haven't done so yet, deliver the letter you get at the beginning to Wilbur Humphrey in Castle Ironfist; that'll net you 5000 gold coins.
As for characters... Try to have a well-rounded party. My current one has a Paladin, an Archer, a Cleric and a Sorcerer in it and they're doing pretty well. (However, if you're new to the game, you could have three fighter-likes and one caster.)

Another way to make some money (once you get back to the mainland) is to fight in the arena. You can get there on Sundays from most stables.

Useful is a party member with high merchant skill, so you get more money for selling your stuff.
Another party member can pump up water magic so you can enchant the items you found before selling them.

A water master is also good to have for quick transport via Town Portal and Lloyd's Beacon.

Is that so? I know in MM7 you could only get there from Harmondale, but I thought there were more roads leading there in MM6.

Nope, just the one. It also happens to be the only stable that goes anywhere on Sundays.

Another way to easy money it´s going to NWC dungeon from New Sorpigal.
Look around the bank walls and you will find a fly scroll.
Use it an go to the Buccaneer's Den top.
Try clicking the walls and you will be teleported to a place plenty of dragons.
Run to the temple and click on the walls and ...
Congratulations you are in the NWC dungeon!
Try this at your own risk, I´m not sure is this is cheating ...

You will need a gatekeeper NPC for this, though, if you do it for the money. The only other way to get out of there would be sacrificing the dough.

In fact you won´t need a gatekeeper NPC.
Once you finished looting the NWC dungeon return to the entry and will go back to the temple surrounded by tons of dragons.
Once you are here look at your map and you´ll see that seems the NWC logo.
Now, if you are quick enough you can reach and click and outside wall in the "sword base" part of the "NWC logo".
If you click the correct wall you´ll be teleported back to New Sorpigal!
