Maybe this doesn´t have online features because it´s DRM-free. Having them would mean keeping it like on Steam. That´s my guess because I believe the same situation has affected other titles released on GOG in the past. The lack of achievements, however, is weird considering Shadow of Mordor supports them.

Mikezinnsz: I contacted WC support, they responded promptly, however, nothing was resolved. The game continues without Online features and neither GoG.com nor WC knows why.
I'll post here WC's answer regarding this. I ask you who are having the same problem as me, to open a complaint on the WC forum in the Shadow of War part and let's wait for this to be resolved as soon as possible.

nicolini.carlos: Thanks for the update.

That's totally ridiculous, the online challenges feature lots of content and extra items you can earn to help you on the main quests.

GOG is starting to really piss me off with this type of attitude. There should be a disclaimer on the game page warning you of the the online missing content.

Maybe I should just download my games and close my account.

I've been on Steam for 10 years and never had this type of trick pulled on me ever...

Who is the big evil corporation now uh?
Yeah seriously, I wouldn't have bought this game if I KNEW there was no online features supported. I bought it BECAUSE I assumed it would be. If there was a disclaimer that it was offline only, I would not have bought the game.

I'm glad I got the game for free but I would ask for a refund if I bought in on gog with missing online features

Half of the fun of the game is conquering other forts and sending your orcs in the pit
I highly recommend everyone give the game a 1 star rating on GOG for missing this feature. This is a major feature for this game and for it to be missing is not good, GOG should at the least write this in the game description as a disclaimer! Bought and wasted time. After this I'll probably start buying from Steam again..

Yeah, if they don't intend to implement an online version, I'm going to ask for a refund. Online is a HUGE part of the game, I bought it mainly to experience the online features, if it doesn't have it, its not a complete game.
Sorry about you guys being disappointed. GOG should have pointed this out in clear words.
My advice to save you from more of this trouble in the future:
If you look at the right hand side of the description, between the link to the game forum and the available languages, there is a list of game features. In this case, it only has Singleplayer. If you check for example No Man's Sky, you will also see Coop and Multiplayer. I won't promise that these tags are always accurate, but still worth a look before you buy. If in doubt, drop a post in the forum.

Wrong even with the online features this is still a Single player game. Check the Steam store page even it ONLY says Single player...

Hi guys, I know there are people who think that it's not GoG.com's responsibility for the problem with the game. However, the game was given by Prime Gaming with redemption on GoG.com, if the redemption was on any other platform I have my sincere doubts that this problem would be occurring. I personally have ALL Shadow Of War game with battle pass, DLCs and everything possible installed and purchased through Steam and never had any problems there. On GoG.com I wanted to replay the game from the beginning without having to lose my save with more than 200 hours of gameplay, and I saw this opportunity in Prime's rescue, unfortunately, to my surprise the Online features weren't there. 30% of the gameplay is in Online achievements, in revenge missions, in the possibility of switching your armies from region...

You mean, those are online features for Singleplayer only? Then my apologies, didn't know that. I only play Singleplayer games and assumed online features would always be sone kind of multiplayer (microtransactions aside, but who would miss those?).

Correct.. the online features allow you to fight other online players captains and forts but it is only a copy of that players stuff.. there is absolutely NO interaction between players.. anything you do to another players fort does not affect that player.

Basically the online features it just online saves that you can load other peoples stuff to compete against, with no affect to the other player. However this is the only way to get some of the gear and do the online challenges
Guess i will wait till it is fixed to buy the expansions..not gonna waste money on something that is not working 100%
In my opinion, it was for the best to remove those online stuff, it's always the same game, just online.

About the gears, I've never been a "collector" so I don't mind either, but they could have included those in the main "offline" game after removing the online stuff.
no solutions to online mode? y passed all game in 30 hours with all only want prove online :(
Disappointing. I already had SoW a long time ago for my old PS4 that I sold, so when I saw the Prime offer for it, I nabbed a PC copy to replay since it's been a while. Unfortunately, it was for GOG that I'm not a big fan of, and this definitely reinforces that.
I already know about the online features it should've had, community challenges, online vendettas, orcs/forts etc. Nothing hugely impactful, but it still seems rather lazy on GOG's part to limit online functionality when it had been working fine with the game itself for years.
Thankfully due to Prime I didn't pay for this, and I'm gonna go right back to Steam. I'm not interested in a platform that cuts corners.
Never played this series until Amazon Prime gave it out and had loads of fun with Shadow of Mordor. When the store page for Shadow of War mentioned online had been disabled, I thought I missed out on co-op or something. Are people really dissappointed Warner Bros. disabled what is essentially e-mail chess?
