oldskooler99: Yes, but I've heard that they made it 'easier' somehow by making it less like stealth-like and more action focused or something like that. I can't say for sure because I haven't played the redux, but I generally don't like when developers start tweaking games that I think are near perfect. I have the hardware to run the original just fine.
I played through the Doom 3 BFG edition after beating the original several times and that as well didn't feel right to me. There was too much ammo and things seem brighter. As if it was made for console or something. I don't like these changes and was curious if this Metro Redux is similar or did they just improved graphics, optimize, etc? Thank you.
The easy part you are talking about is the addition of a difficulty mode that actually allows you to make it more action focused. You have the choice of the original stealth/survival gameplay of the original and the aforementioned action one.
It is true the stealh is a bit easier than the original, but it is not stupidly dumbed down, at least from what I have seen, just a bit more lenient.
