Loretan: I bought this game here because I thought there exist a Linux version
Me too, I expected to get the Linux versions here as well... Didn't want to support steam.
Perhaps we'll have a second birthday party for this question staying unanswered. Really good, GOG! Absolutely perfect: Treating Linux-users as always second-class customers. :)

We'll find out that soon enough, just within two weeks.

Happy birthday, thread. Unanswered and unsolved for two years now! Great, GOG. But hey not having this longer since you now made some really bad decisions with the upcoming "new" installer and your crappy, optional client. :)
When is the linux version going to be available here?
Do you have to install steam to play it from steam?
The original comment below was based on false facts, please ignore it. For more reference, see the following few comments. Sorry.

Since GOG still didn't bother to even look at this thread, I want to inform you guys that both Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light are on sale right now for $5 each in the Humble Bundle store, DRM free of course. Get it there. Buy them individually, not the bundle for $5.99 (that's a steam key only).

What is humble bundle? Is it a steam store?

They're no better at the Humble Bundle, since their Linux version is steamified anyway. The only DRM-free version is on Windows here too.

Are you sure? The store page said that it's DRM free *and* available for Linux. The Bundle (both games) was a Steam key only.
This looks clear enough to me...

You're right, I misinterpreted it. Excuse me and thank you for the correction. I will add note to my initial post.

Treating GNU/Linux-users as second class since the very beginning, GOG! And well: Selling some ports with Unity-engine and included telemetry is one thing. Another would be a clear communication about games with a native port elsewhere. But hey, keep going that way ... some kind of sad tradition.
