I got an answer by GOG, they point to the following:

http://news.softpedia.com/news/Deep-Silver-Refuses-to-Provide-Linux-DRM-free-Builds-to-GOG-com-for-Metro-Last-Light-Redux-481335.shtml

So officially GOG can't do anything about it. However, I have a feeling, that they are also not interested in it, since there are so many Linux games which are available DRM free through Humble Bundle and even Steam, but are not available on GOG. For me it's uneasy to believe, that other shops got the licence for DRM-Free Linux versions, but GOG not. I think, It's sometimes just easier to do nothing about it, what is making me sad as a Linux user, but I can understand that, with s.t. around 1% Linux gamers, there is no money to make. But the point is, that if GOG does finally bring a game for Linux, it's have being available for months or even years in other shops and I bought it already so we (Linux users) don't buy it here again with the result, that GOG doesn't get payed for the effort. This makes the Linux situation even worse from GOG point of view and they start to abuse Linux as a platform. This is an evil loop, which can be broken by GOG only if they start to bring games for Linux on day 1 together with their Windows and MacOS versions. Else I fear, that we will see/buy less and less games for Linux here.

No. That's a complete failure to read the article. The first half was speculation. The second half, after Update:, is GOG's response.
I received the same link as an answer yesterday. Maybe our questions will encourage them to prepare Linux version faster. ;-) Thanks.

Would be cool to see some movement on this front. Personally I´m no GNU/Linuxler, but I do believe it´s important to leave the choice of the OS to the users as long as it doesn´t hold back technical advancement.

Technological enhancement is not the important thing: Freedom is important. The freedom to choose an operating system fitting to your own workflow. The problem here: GOG don't tell us the complete story. There are no further reasons given and all the answers sounds like standardized talk, nothing more, nothing less. Treating Linux-customers like some kind of second class is not very helpful and the only version of Metro available is bound to Steam with full DRM from my point of view. Or is it possible starting the game afterwards without having Steam installed?

I think you can't, but i'm not sure for certain. I'll download it and will report later.

edit: yep, if you try to run metro binary directly, it starts Steam.

Thanks for the test: So just another DRM. Would be nice to have a DRM-free version here just as on Windows, but I think based on the actual handling GOG has we have to wait forever. So no version for Linux. What a shame for both, GOG and the publisher.
This is so sad. Whoever decided to hold it back from us should get severely punished.
Still waiting... Hope dies last!
With my recent GPU purchase along with my general usage of Linux increasing day by day, it sure would be grand to get the native versions of these games on Linux.
A bit of a bummer. Like many of you here, I'll be upgrading my GPU fairly soon, too. Was curious to see how well the games would run with the new hardware on Linux.
This thread is about more than a year open without having any reaction from GOG regarding a future DRM-free, native release of the Metro-series on Linux. Wow, got my respect for this, GOG - no not really, only being sarcastic about that. Little reminder: Is the red band even prepared for the FEZ-release on Linux? When does this happen? Or do you want to treat the Linux-customers always in some ways like the second-class?
It's been nearly two years. I don't think GOG cares much. :)
Waiting for Godot....
I bought this game here because I thought there exist a Linux version
