Hey everyone. If possible I'd like to gain depth buffer access for Metal Gear Solid. I've tried using dgVoodoo2, but the game crashes. I tried Ultimate ASI injector, used input8.dll both as-is and renamed as ddraw.dll, and placed the reshade file into the 'scripts' / 'plugins' folder as both .dll and .asi--and it doesn't seem to be working so not sure if I've set it up correctly. Also, both were x86 not x64. The only thing I can get ReShade to work with is DXGL which runs the game as OpenGL. It seems there is some buffer access. I get the Purplish / White split screen, and there are two buffers to select, one being FBO. But no matter what I do, I can't get access to the depth buffer.

If someone can fiddle with it, or if someone already has a solution I'd greatly appreciate it. Same for MGS2 btw. The depth buffer eludes me at the moment, but that's an optional request. Definitely more interested in MGS. Thanks.

Got the latest version of dgVoodoo2 to work, but still have the same results. Solid Purple/White buffer. Oddly the DX11/12 wrapper doesn't show any selctable buffers, but when wrapped to OpenGL using DXGL there are two.

Check out my channel yodas raytraced retro studios on youtube. There is another user that has figured it out. Originally it was seeming to show up with specific drivers, or maybe it was a fan patch. It was so long ago I forgot, and no one came to help, but if you can get it to show up, to get it to scale correctly (I didnt know this yet) you need to set your desktop rez to a manual 4:3 and the games as well both matching.

You can make a custom rez @ 2800x2100 too if you want. Maybe the other Jedi will show us the way. I know using the d3d8 path leads to broken rendering. I got it working with dg voodoo months ago, so im thinking its just a specific driver it works with or something. I dont objectively know yet.
