Through Galaxy, the Play button greys out, game opens a small white window for an instant and then it closes and the Play button becomes available again.


Tried verifying the game files and running as admin to no avail.
No posts in this topic were marked as the solution yet. If you can help, add your reply

I had the same issue. Windows Security marks the steamapi.dll file as hazardous and deletes it immediately, but the game won't start without it. You have to go in there and make sure to allow the file or else it gets deleted and the game will not start. I don't know if that's the issue you had, but I tried using GOG Galaxy and you hit Play and then it turns gray like it's about to begin and then the process stops. At least give it a try. That fixed it for me.

The file is there for me and I don't think WinDefender has notified me about anything, doubt that's it for me, hopefully support figures it out

Reinstalling with Win defender exception and dx10 eventually worked for me but I tried lots of stuff before I downloaded and
