Hello everyone,

Anyone know how to get LAN Co-Op working? Does it require multiple accounts, or can it be done with one account on LAN?

I apologize if that seems like a stupid question given GOG is DRM free, but when I try to connect via LAN to another computer, I just get a black screen. I can find this issue present on steam, but nothing related to GOG online.

Any help would be much appreciated.

When the game released it was solo only, I was fine playing it on gog until the multiplayer patch was released (on steam only), My wife and I both bought the game on steam to play multiplayer, we play it on our lan at home fine. it's the downside of GoG that developers focus on steam first for patches/updates.

Do you each have a license for the game and play on separate accounts or the same steam account, or do you play LAN with one copy of the game through the same account?

I realize the question is a bit convoluted, but from what I've read, it is only possible to play on the same steam account (through family share I believe) but you'd need to purchase another "license" for the game. I believe that is what a friend of mine does with his wife and son. I don't have Steam, so I can't speak to this.


EDIT: What I was hoping for is that I'd be able to purchase a copy to play on my home network with family. It looks like id need not just another copy, but purchased from another account. If that's the case, GOG should make that clear. This also means that while the single player is DRM free, the multiplayer is not. I have no problem buying extra copies (dependent of course upon the game), but I'm not going to start multiple accounts for one or two games.

LAN for me, at least in this case, is one copy used offline but on a network. If you disable internet but continue with home network only, it won't even let you start a coop campaign. END OF EDIT
