Hi there,
I just bought MDK from gog, as our old cd-rom is on it's last legs. When I got past the "avoid the radar" part, the top and left edges of the picture are odd. They look like they've been replaced by a thin line of picture from elsewhere on the screen. It's quite distracting...
Any advice?

After looking at it for a while, It looks like the objects are being rendered in all but one row of pixels around the entire edge of the picture. In that area it only renders the sky/background. It makes a kind of annoying "frame" effect.
Anyone else had that problem?

FIddle around with the varying rendering modes first (there should be a link to video setup in your programfiles folder), to see if any of the different modes fix this problem.

Could you be more specific? I'm having a hard time finding it.
(Nice avatar by the way.)
I just reinstalled MDK to have a look, and there isn't any such video setup provided with this game. Instead it's run via something called gogwrap.exe, I have no clue what that does.
Are you on XP or Vista? What graphics chipset?

I'm running Vista, and I have a NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150.
I never had this problem when I ran it off my cd-rom, and the only major difference with this version is it has options for Direct 3d.
(Well, that and it's missing the awesome animated intro logos. I miss those. Heh.)
I have the same problem.
It seems alot of people are having problems with direct3d in MDK, the solution gog has is to run the game in software mode or you can check this thread out to get it to run in 3dfx settings.

Unfortunately, that only seems to work with the CD version of the game as the 3DFX patch requires a CD.

You will need to visit GCW to get a file from them. I can't post a link though.
