Hey everyone,

Look I'm sure some already know this -
This is not supremely important but I got excited and had to share: you know how MDK initially stood for Murder Death Kill? and yes the developers had fun with that acronym - giving different answers at interviews, it can be Mission: Deliver Kindness - or Max, Doc and Kurt (in French there was another hilarious one: "Migration De Kiwis") etc.

But anyway that acronym and its meaning actually originated in the film Demolition Man (1993)! I just realised that watching it now.

I just had to share my delight - carry on!
Nope, it's Max, Doc, Kurt.

FYI:

"Hi this is Nick Bruty, creator of the original MDK. Thanks for all the nice reviews. Can't believe its been so long since it was released.
To answer a few questions. Yes the name did stand for Murder Death Kill. It was a temp name that stuck although I didn't like the actual meaning so we came up with a bunch of other names to cover it up.
The game was shorter than I wanted it to be. I had 8 levels planned but because we were being so diverse in each level we just didn't have the time so cut it to 6. There was no work done on the missing 2 levels.
I do wish we had released with a save game. I don't think the game is overly hard as much as abstract in places.
If anyone has questions I'll be happy to answers them on my site.
