Hello,
I've downloaded 3DFX Glide wrapper so I could play MDK 1 without some graphical glitches I've been having. It worked perfectly, but now I can no longer play the game in full screen: the game screen is surrounded by black bars. Well, the screen didn't became tiny, I can still play the game, but I was wondering if there is some way I could play MDK in full screen again?

(Sorry for my english, I'm brazilian)
Thanks in advance.

The latest version of MDK1 on GOG.com already comes with a Glide wrapper. It uses nGlide which has a GUI setup in which you can select full screen, and resolution, amongst other settings, so as long as you use this in conjunction with the 3DFX version of the game in the GOG package then it should be full screen.

Or are you using a non-GOG version of the game? In which case it may be the 3DFX wrapper that you are using (there are different ones out there) or even your graphics card driver/utility settings. Without details of what you have, with regards to the game and wrapper software and your hardware, I can't say any more.

Yes, I'm using the GOG version of the game, but I actually had purchased the game about a year ago (and it didn't had the Glide wrapper included), and only last week I learned about the 3DFX Glide wrapper, so I downloaded it to try to fix the glitches I was having.

If I unistall the game, and install it again through GOG, will it come with the Glide wrapper this time?

Thanks in advance.

If you uninstall the game, then download the latest installer from GOG and use that to install it, then yes, you'll have the Glide wrapper. It is the nGlide wrapper so there will be an executable that you can use to tweak the settings of the wrapper (widescreen, resolution, vsync, etc).

Hope this helps you. :)

I've unistalled the game and download the latest installer from GOG. I tried tweaking the wrapper's settings a bit, but unfortunately I wasn't able to play the game in full screen yet...

I guess it's not a big deal, so I'll play the game the way it is (until someone has the answer lol). But thanks for your help anyway Korell

Really? What are the settings you are using in the nGlide configurator? Mine are the defaults which are as follows:

Screen resolution: By app
However, for some games, like Carmageddon, I up this to 1280x800 - I keep a 4:3 ratio here as the games were built for 4:3 screens, however, other settings scale it to fill the screen at the cost of slightly stretching it, but many old games actually look better this way.

Aspect ratio: Fit to screen

Refresh rate: By app

Vertical synchronisation: On

Gamma correction: 1.0

3DFX logo splash screen: On
This setting really doesn't matter, and in fact for some games it still doesn't show, but that might be my DOSBox settings for those games.
