Hello

I have been a member of this great site for two months but have one problem. The reason I joined was because I read a review in my computer magazine about GoG. Where you apparently could get Moo2 that could be played online.

I have read this forum and as I understand it you have to use the windows version....but how can I launch a game that my friends can connect to?

Moo2 used to be our favourite hotseat game back in the day before wives and girlfriends....so it would be really cool to play over the internet.
I'm using Hamachi with the GOG version of MoO 2, and it works great.

Thanks looks interesting will give it a try
I was able to do it with the tools provided by gog.com. Under the start menu folder there's a sub folder named "Network" go there and it should have something labled like "launch client as HOST" or as a guest. If your the host, determine your IP and have everyone connect to it. It cannot be done in the regular game as far as I can tell.

Damn I must be blind....thanks sometimes it is a good idea....to check the windows menu and not only using the desktop shortcut :)
Yes but... how can I know the IP addresses of other players?
If your next opponent is playing on a windows machine.

Have them click the windows button.

click on all programs
click on accessories
click on system tools
click on windows powershell
open the windows powershell program
in the window that opens, type "ipconfig"
it will list your ipaddress
