I have purchased this game because the german language is included (german, english and one other), but I don't find a way to set it. Thanks!

No, in Galaxy I can read "3 languages inside the game". There are no different downloads...

Edit: If I try to download the installers directly, the I can see, there are different downloaders, but for Mac OS only english is available. Why? This is a Dosbox game, on Windows, Linux and Mac OS it should the same...

You can NOT change the language in game. If you use Galaxy go to More -> Configure and as Language choose German there.

Edit: and then it will download the game in german :P
and if you change back to english will download the english version
And if you go on get backups and choose german as language you will see different file size, so definitely downloads DIFFERENT versions ;)

OK, then it is a fault by GOG! Then they should change the game description and change the Galaxy setup informations.

Probably they are not maintaining other versions than english version for other OS than Windows, because of the fewer users, but it should be no problem for them to build versions for OSX ...

Something different, the german version still uses 1.31, the last official patch, the english version uses a community patch that is better balanced. The ingame english isnt that hard and even in german version the videosequences are still in english, just written text in german.

But support should definitely be notified of the missing OSX and Linux versions ...

It is not about balance, 1.40 patch fixes bugs and introduces some new features like Post Warp tech age and Cluster Galaxy. A number of interesting command line switches are introduced, like having influence over the # planets in your starting system. Excellent patch.

This is now fixed for both the offline DMG files and via Galaxy :)

To clarify:

Each language version has its own DMG file.

If you are using Galaxy, then you need to go to the Configure menu, change your language to "Deutsch", wait for Galaxy to download and update your MoO 2 installation and then you'll have the German version of the game as intended :)
