trusteft: I am not going to read all this.
I will just take your first sentence.
Which is fine by me. Not all people can have the same taste.

0Grapher: It's just funny that we hate the opposite games for the same reasons. What I'd be interested in is why you think Skyrim's audio is good in any way.
Cause it is...

Okay...? Pretty annoying response - you could have just not responded instead. (First you did not want to talk about it because it is so obvious, now you apparently can't name a good aspect about it.) I can't think of a thing that is good about it.

Get over yourself. We don't have to agree. I like the game's audio, you don't. End of story.
I thought Oblivion was terrible. Seriously, right from the start you`re expected to follow the Emperor`s Royal guard and nobody really minds? `You`ll be alright.` Really? I`m a criminal, you don`t know what i might have done. And throughout the game you`re treated as the main hero when you`re still level 1? Then there was the over-the-top notices telling you everything. I couldn`t even dive into a lake and enjoy looking for a chest before being told I`d found it when I hadn`t! It might as well just take over and tell me how to breathe while playing the game for me. Yea, no. I had to install a ton of mods and it was still bad.

Skyrim by comparison was much better. It started dark with the right tone. Sure the `Dragon attacks the world` was cliched, but still the game worked well and it worked BEST when you EXPLORED. especially if you don`t FT everywhere. And there were some pretty good side quest lines too. On top of that the `ambient` quests kept the game going. I spent the longest time just doing ambient jobs before going near any quest line.

Of course a few mods to get rid of the stupid compass pointing everything in your face like a 31st century radar, etc helped also.

The civil war was totally rubbish though and the main quest was very average. Oblivion`s MQ was also crappy.

I am an idiot and bought it without realizing GOG doesn't have the linux version...

If I play via wine the game slows down horribly after a while and only restarting fixes it.
Anyone got a solution for this :/?
Yes, going back on topic, I too would like to see the Linux version here.
I don't care about multiplayer so I don't mind if they have it disabled at first.
I am slowly start moving to Linux due to Microsoft and I hope more games are available for Linux. Especially ones which already have support for it from the get go but for some reason they are not available here.
I think there's a wishlist entry for the Linux version but most users in this thread haven't voted:

That's not what this was about.

You make some good criticisms. There's no doubt about the horrible levelling mechanic that allowed you to be the hero even though you were weaker than every guard. After fixing that and some other aspects of the game, however, Oblivion did and does what I want for me, whereas Skyrim was beyond fixing for me. Depending on what's important to you it can obviously be the other way round.

I think most of the users in this thread expected a Linux version to be released, since the devs and Steam both claim to have a Linux version available. If a Linux version exists, the assumption is that voting on a poll for it to be included on GOG wouldn't be necessary.

Yup. Assumption. And all that that implies. Shame on me.

Well, it's not going to help much but it is one of the things that you can do. Another way of increasing the likelihood of it being released here soon is by sending mails to the publishers and everyone that might be able to do something.
So, why is there no Linux version of MOO on GOG? Due to incompatible multiplayer?
This topic has the most posts in this forum of any active topic in the last month.

Could we get an official response from ANYONE at either GOG or Wargaming, please?
Yeah, an official statement would be great. I dont know if I have to wait for a GOG-Linux-port, or if I have to buy it on Steam.

Why buying on Steam? There is no difference either treated here as second-class customer or there dealing with unneeded DRM-system. For me then it is better letting this game pass!
Just in case: There is an official statement. The Linux build is Steam only.

I have a feeling this is entirely GOG's fault. They do not have their #%$@ Galaxy client for Linux yet, and the publisher wants the client to work as DRM for the online component of the game. When/if GOG releases the client for Linux, the game might appear here too. Of course it will be interesting to see then if the game will REQUIRE the client for the Linux version, even for single player.
