I get to the screen with the planet with the ring and instead of having options its just the planet . I tried repair , uninstall and restall still just goes there with no options . Its not locked up the planet is rotating .

FIXED !

Remove d3d9.dll from MoO directory and it will start .

Don't have time to play it am moving today will try tomorrow maybe .

Got this problem to. Unfortunly do not know how to fix it either .

After the latest update starting the game there is an intoduction movie, then I got the screen with planet and the ring around it, and there must be the main menu. The planet is spinning, but the menu is not shown.
I've tried to repair, update and reinstall the games. Nothing is changed.

Just for information.
Tried version from Steam. All going right way.
Got normal showing menu options at the same notebook.

Same problem...did as everyone else has; reinstalled gog and games, but to no avail. Hope this gets fixed soon..seems to happen every time they patch the game!!

And the Game still wont start....So much for fixing it.

Ok, running a Nvida GTX 650, which very recently has started freazaing at random times in one other game, minecraft, I haven't updated my video drivers in a while, so thats my first call, im on 361.75 ATM, updating to 364.72

Im also running Windows 10 on a SSD.

Ok, so I have updated and no fix, question do you all uninstall then reinstall?

Thats what I did, maybe the installer is missing something that those who reinstalled over already have?

As a point to this, I am not getting a new icon on my desktop being placed when I install, so something IS being done differently to the old installer.

So I uninstalled and reinstalled from 2.5.0.11 and same issue.. very odd,

So I uninstalled that and reinstalled from 2.0.0.5 and I noticed something,
the EULA poped up after installing on first run of the game..

The 2.0.05 version ran, so then I installed 2.5.0.11 and it ran as well, so that was a good improvement, but Installing over 2.5.0.11 working version with 2.6.0.13 does not get 2.6.0.13 working..

Also, any of you running Multiple monitors or SSDs?

Found this line in gogolog.ini right at the bottom of the file..

D170=C:\Master of Orion\C:\Master of Orion\

changed it to just D170=C:\Master of Orion\ but no fix..

NVidia also . installed latest drivers . Uninstalled MoO and then GoG . Still gets to the planet spinning page but no overlay offering me to continue or start a new game .
