When I rollback to version 42.8.0.5.18151 the game has more than just the planet and version floating at the bottom. Any installation after this version I get just the planet.

Not sure if that helps

No joy,

updating to GOG15 makes no change, and the Output log file dose not get accessed and changed at all.

Uninsulated and reinstalled and still the same.

I've just noticed windows reports MOO is installed taking a whooping 1.37 megabytes of space, can I get you to mail out an instillation floppy disk for me to try and install from? ;)

No other program on my computer has ever been out that much when reporting instillation space.

If the old version works i guess they could atleast offer people who hasn't even played it before the chance to play it in previous version until this is sorted out, i just bought it and am pissed §

Tempted to demand refund...

It's an "In development" game. Not complete. Luck of the draw to working properly at the moment. Give it some time since a lot still is being tweaked and added. I'm upset too by this but not gonna jump the gun since buying the early access gave me prior ones to play with in the mean time. Trust me, I do wanna play this new one, like bad. Till then keep busy with something while a fix is hopefully in work. :)

Results of a fresh install of the 2.7.0.15 .exe download from gog.com:

Desktop machine (Win10-64, i7, 32GB RAM, NVidia 680 Gfx (Driver 364.72)):
Program starts, intro logos show with sound. Then shows a planet - no sound. No UI, game is unresponsive.

Laptop (Lenovo X1 Carbon 2016, i7, Intel Graphics 520 (Driver 20.19.15.4380)):
Program starts, intro logos show with sound. Game runs as normal.

So, laptop with Intel graphics is fine but the desktop with NVidia has the same issue as others in this thread.

Yes, we knew we'd be guinea pigs and still chose to pay for that privilege :)


I also have the problem reported in this thread. Will it be any help if I send in log files, dxdiag, etc. too?

yes, but also there seems to be little feedback or suggestions offered to try and narrow down the bug.

Being a game braking bug, its something that you would expect to be hearing some back and forth requests on.

At this point I would have to agree, not even an word that it will be looked into aside sending system into to them. A status update or something twice a week on the issue would be nice.

loungelizzard: I have totally deleted the MoO file and had it make a new one with the installer . It still wont load the overlay to let you continue , start new game or exit . Its just the planet slowly spinning around . It doesn't have the beta stuff at top right corner or link WG account info in right lower corner either .

Where do I get the ' offline ' installer to try that ?

JudasIscariot: You can download the offline installer via Galaxy by clicking on "More" and then clicking on "Get Backup & Extras" when you are on the game's page in Galaxy.

You can also click on "Account" and then "Library" on the bar at the top of every page on GOG.com, click on Master of Orion's box on your shelf and download the offline installer via your browser :)
