At the moment I play the game via Xbox Game Pass and am trying to decide between buying on GOG for the obvious reasons, or on Humble, where I can get a Steam key for 3 Euro less because of an active Choice subscription.

When I restarted the game because of an UI hickup last night between 01:30 and 02:30 it already got an update on the Xbox launcher. I know on Steam updates are rolled out pretty quickly on several early access titles, while on GOG we often had to be more patient a little up to a lot. Has this changed? Is it now easier for developers to roll out updates on Galaxy or via downloadable patches? Maybe even multiple patches on the same day?
I don't know the answer to your question, but this is why I stopped buying new (as in recently released and still getting frequent updates) games on GOG.

I had several frustrating experiences where a issue that kept me from playing a game was fixed on Steam, and I had to wait a week or more for GOG to catch up. I initially blasted the developers for poor support of their GOG customers, but then I learned that the delay was entirely on GOG, not the developer.

I don't know if this has changed since then, but unless I see some clear evidence that it has (e.g. an official statement), I'm not taking any chances.
Well today the beta patch arrived to steam and it's quite a big one at that. :)

Considering how this game uses Beta Brachches exclusive to Steam. I guess I learned my lesson as well.

No updates for GOG version. I'm starting to regret buying the game there.
it's very disappointing that we don't have access to the most recent patch
What is ETA for the patch on GOG?

Yeah, it's killing me that I can't download the cutting-edge release for an early access game. That's kind of the whole point. I'll probably have to buy it again on Steam if there ends up being a huge delay to GOG. It seems like the DEV could just release the patch download from their website, but I suppose they might only be releasing the patched as the full install and not an updater patch.

It's still on version 0.7.954. Very frustration. But there is an option to get the latest branch. Idk if it's illegal, when you already bought the game, but there are sites, where you actually can download the fully updated game for free. I'll download it there now. I don't want to wait until GOG uploads the current version or any updater.
I'm still waiting on GOG to respond to my refund request. I'm sure there are 100's of people or more doing the same thing since Steam gets access to the experimental bug fixes and patches and we don't for the same price that we paid.

FYI, I purchased Manor Lords on Steam and installed the Experimental Update 0.7.960 and it surprising kept all of the customization that I had done in the GOG version, including all of my old saves. I guess just buy it twice if you can and hope GOG changes how they do early access updates in the future.
Guys, any idea how GOG is going to handle this issue? Maybe we can push them somehow? ^^ Or... do you, GOG, read your forum? :P
