Hello,

Please could you clarify what do you mean by saying that we "do not offer an update"? Do you mean to say that we appear to be missing an update for the game?

While troubleshooting this issue with me please could you also contact the official support for the game? They might know more about this problem:

All the best,
Falran

The newest beta 0.7.965 was released earlier today.

Slavic Magic also made this statement through the Discord ML-Notifier:

"Currently the beta is only available on Steam and is not available on any other plattform. GeForce Now, Epic Games, GoG, Gamepass and other platforms cannot receive the beta until its testing has finished and is released to the public build.

Steam has very good support for beta branches. Most other platforms do not."

Well...that sux. Gog sold the game with the same pricetag as Steam, but we get a worse experience. great.
c'mon GOG, wth? You're supposed to be a competitor. So, COMPETE ALREADY!!

Dziaduffication: Guys, any idea how GOG is going to handle this issue? Maybe we can push them somehow? ^^ Or... do you, GOG, read your forum? :P

Ritsuka781: could always try flooding gog support with tickets about the issue
Reading the latest posts and a news from Discord... I lost hope that GOG is going to (is capable of?) do anything :(
Wanted to support REDS and that was the only argument why I did not buy it on Steam, and now we all need to face consequences...
Why this outrage over beta branches not being uploaded to GOG?

We still remain to see an actual official patch for Manor Lords being released.

When that one finally arrives, and if that then only arrives at Steam and not here, then I can understand people being mad or disappinted about it.

But beta branches?
Come on.

If you really want to be game testers more than you already are from buying an Early Access title in the first place, then buy your EA games on Steam, as Steam has the superior platform for releasing beta branches.

This isn't special for Manor Lords - that's general for all EA games.

Sometimes people really start stupid flame wars over nothing.

MichaelJDK: Why this outrage over beta branches not being uploaded to GOG?.
The outrage is unfortunately mostly caused by the Youtubers heavily promoting the beta branch and how, according to them, apparently (almost) flawless and extremely good the changes are.

With that additional hype, who wants to wait possibly weeks or at least who wants to have no clue when they go to 'Early Access' branch release.
Since I was born and bred in Poland, and both The Witcher and CDP are close to my heart, I decided to purchase the game Manor Lords in early access on GOG instead of on Steam. I wanted to continue supporting the CDP studio instead of Valve. And what happened? GOG can't deliver the updates...Shame on YOU CDP

And it all is based on assumption that everybody knows the "then buy your EA games on Steam, as Steam has the superior platform for releasing beta branches.". I never bough an EA game, did not even know it is a thing. And "stupid flame war" is over GOG not mentioning it anywhere. :) And it is not a war, more of discussion of dissapointed people :)

Dziaduffication: Steam has the superior platform
Steam has the superior platform if you want DRM, sometimes even multiple at once (or you don't care about).
That should be common knowledge everyone knows :)

For Early access, some (indie) devs/publishers even managed to upload their betas to GOG, ultimately it is their decision not GOGs.

But what i am talking, meanwhile 0.7.972 finally arrived at EA.
- And the circle probably continues through the next betas.
It's the first time I buy a game in GoG and it is crazy that it takes so long for games to get updates.
I know it's a beta branch, whatever, you can still offer it to players and they can choose whether they want it or not.

At the end of the day, buying in GoG or Steam makes not difference for the developer, they still get cut off 30% of the cake.

"Yes, but steam has drm" - Yes, but they also have workshops, updates day 1 and some other advantages.
"Yes, but GoG is DRM free" - Download the game from somewhere else free of charge and problem solved, since you have already purchased the game, you should have the right to own it.

I bought the game in GoG by a friend's recommendation, probably the last time I do it.

The issue here is the devs don't want to support the testing of the beta patches on any other platform - its like the beta of the beta patch. They released the final beta patch as soon it was released on steam. So it is not a matter of time like you say. Its just a deicision they made - we will release just the (final) beta patches. Still it is something to consider when buying the game or any in dev game in general I agree!

Downloading from somewhere else also often comes with the nice addition of viruses or other issues. Also it puts you at risk based on where you live. No idea how it is in your country but in some (as you know in EU) you can get a pretty nice fine.

It does matter for us the consumers. Because as you can see on platform like steam a company like Sony can do whatever they want and just ban 170+ countries from their games and then force the rest of the countries to register on their own network if they want to play their games so they can monitor and collect their data all they want. That is why places like GOG still matter!

Do you know what is drm?:) what is to buy a product and to buy a licence to use the product?
I had a dream at night that you were a pirate wasted after first legal transaction in his life ever :D

btw. I have more than 1 game and support maybe isn't superfast always but is really good so if you have a problem - report a problem or refund - you have 30 DAYS! to do that

Updates shouldn't be platform exclusive. Full stop. Get out of here if all you're here to do is troll.

Untill now, all official patches (is it 2 or 3 now?) have come here on GOG at exactly the same day they came on Steam.

Apparently some people confuse test branches for real patches.
And then other people read the posts of those confused people and think that patches aren't coming on GOG which is simply not true.

I guess, I'm not really the one trolling, after all.
