While late reply is well late, the answer would be no, they can't since they don't know and by the sounds of it EA doesn't really either. Last we heard Mythic's Paul Barnett said on a episode of the Bombcast that they had some more EA owned games coming to GOG and that the legal issues with the expansions should be cleared up. But he has said that at least one time before and well that wasn't the case, well the expansions anyway.

The problem seems to be that EA legal didn't know who owned what when it comes to the expansions

I for one would also like the expansion, as it is a definite part of the series and really does increase the replayability of the original game

Magic Carpet Plus is now on GOG! :D

It includes Magic Carpet and the Hidden Worlds expansion pack. ^_^

I bought Magic Carpet Plus, coupled with Magic Carpet 2. The expansion is nowhere to be found. Am I not looking in the right place? It's not in the DMG file, and there is no link to download it separately.

Every time you launch Magic Carpet Plus you can choose between the main game and the expansion. Unfortunately you're not able to download Hidden Worlds separately.
