Machinarium plays sound but only displays a white screen on MacOS Big Sur 11.1 (M1). Any advice?

It does the same thing whether launched thru GOG Galaxy or separately. The "Verify / Repair" option in Galaxy didn't help. I didn't try reinstalling.

I'm not a Mac user but, according to this thread, you might be experiencing a compatibility issue.
These are the words of the developer on the subject:

Hello, we are aware of this. It is a compatibility issue on newer macs + macOS Big Sur. We are currently working on an update to bring the game up to speed again. Thank you for being patient with us!
