I generally despise buying in dev games, but half price is good enough to tempt me. I have had this on my wishlist for a while and waited for it to go love to make a real decision, but looking for some more clarity now. This looks like is almost an updated original Gold Box game. Even to the point of focusing on the individual character models. Traveling across a main map doing quests and advancing whatever main quest line there may be at my own pace. Is this an accurate ball park estimate for the game? or am I way off base?

Yep, you about spot on with the idea of the game. I am about 8 hours in, 6 character party at level 6 now. The "quests" are mainly escort, fetch and carry, kill wandering monsters (they only appear on the main map when you accept the quest), go to locations and slay all. There is also buy stuff for some towns, All of these raise your rep, which is needed to buy trading licences to allow you to shop and trade in main cities.

Graphically it does the job nicely, not a patch on Divinity, Pathfinder etc, but adequate. I tend to find myself wandering about, as there is completely free choice when not working on the man quest. The town / city quests are time limited, and your rep decides how many you can have at once, but there is usually plenty of time.

The game has had two patches int he last week, neither of which appears to be in the offline downloads, though the full game is the latest version. Be prepared to play it for a while, then choose when to redownload and cross you fingers if the previous saves will work. Small download though, and if the game is fun then restarting wont be a problem.

At half price I'm pleased with it.
