There is a tar.gz file for Lords of Xulima. What should I do with it to make it work and install?

I also have Deluxe Edition DLC. Do I need that?

Extract the tar.gz file somewhere (I recommend your home directory). Then just run the start.sh script.

The Deluxe Edition DLC is not needed. It apparently does make the game easier, but I would hope the game is reasonably balanced without it. (I haven't played except to make sure the game works on my system.)

Thank you very much, but it heavily stutters with Gaulen. What can I do about it?
