The artwork looks like the FM towns version possibly? Looking at the 16 color staff bar. So no speech, but the extended narrative of the original floppy version?
Heh, I created a topic with the exact same title almost at the same time.

Sadly I think it's the vga dos talkie - the gog page says "Languages:
Audio and text: English".

You are right, the logo is that of LucasArts instead of LucasFilm and the folder has CDDA.SOU inside besides the rest of VGA CD verion files.
There is LOOM.EXE in a sub folder. Wondering if this game will work on a real DOS machine?

LOL

Good idea. There is not much to tweak though, so should be short and sweet :)

I'll check if they work in DOSBox / real DOS machine.

Is this the same version as the one on Steam? I bought this game on Steam a long time ago but don't want to buy it a second time if it's the exact same thing (especially since I can just go ahead and play either the FM Towns or one of the EGA versions which people say are the better versions anyway).

Yes. If you have already bought it on steam, do not buy it here.

Disney are looking into making the towns/ega versions available as well but no news as of yet.
LOOM was one of the last great EGA adventure games, so it
is sad, that a site like GOG, that tries to keep good old games
alive, wont include the ORIGINAL EGA version (far superior in
every way).
