I`m disappointed - why would you include the same bonus content (talking about the sketches) in the LBA and LBA2? I`m sure that there are plenty of stuff that could be included, why repeating the content in the both releases?
I'd assume theres only so much stuff they have for games this age, and it makes sense to share some people releases so that people that only buy one still get a decent amount of content?
I think the only other thing they might have been able to include (aside from the music) is a few LBA3 concept sketchs that were done in the last few years. However, I think they might avoid that as it could be seen to confirm a 3rd game, when its really only "doddles" by the creators.
Well, on first hand - mixing few LBA1 and few LBA2 concepts and releasing the same content with both games is stupid. I thought that we could see more stuff from the both games, more concepts, we haven`t seen yet. I mean - come on... We all have these games for ages, we bought and still buy them, just for the cause to see LBA3 some day. I know there are people, never played the both LBAs before, they`re yet to discover something new, but what`s for us? The only new thing we could see is in the bonus content. And the disappointment is that they`ve put something "just-to-fill-the-space". If Didier Chanfray hodlds the rights (and as we know it happens to be the main artist), why just they didn`t ask him to shake the dust off some of his artworks and give them to GOG? I don`t even talk about the LBA3 "doodles", this is all about the first two games. We`ve seen them, we play them, why not have the artworks made for them too? Even the games that are in development have more teaser artworks released than these two oldies...
I agree with Tomquist here. I bought both games only to support the origianl developers here and for the bonus stuff. Discovering that there are basically the same things in the two games is quite disappointing. Something more with the wallpapers could be done too.
31 sketchs isnt enough?

As I said, what makes you think they still have more? Not only are these games over a decade old, but the creators changed companys 3 or 4 times inbetween. This might be all thats left.
ust they didn`t ask him to shake the dust off some of his artworks and give them to GOG?
What makes you think that isnt exactly what they done?

Ive seen one or two of these concepts before in some old magazines, but certainly not all of them.
I doubt that they`ve destroyed any of the materials produced, during the development, besides, what makes these 31 sketches so different than the others so they`ve kept them for so long and the others - not? Furthermore, looking at the EXIF and the Photoshop version, used for the scans, leaves me the impression that all artwork was scanned long time ago, so even if the papers do not exist anymore, surely there are digital copies and I`m ready to bet on this. What is the point in buying games, when there`s no diversity in the bonus content? I don`t think that I`d buy any more games from here. I really gave my money just for the additional stuff and how not to feel disappointed (even deceived), when I paid twice for the same thing?

Two days and no one from GOG even made the effort to tell why in the world, they`ve repeated the same content...
Come on, we'll get more bonus content with LBA 3: Collectors Edition 8)

Hopefully, if there`s a third game, it won`t be on sale here. Probably they`ll stick the same bonuses to the third too. I`d rather buy the game from a store or even pirate it, instead of giving my money again here. Too bad that I can`t return my purchase (and money) back.
This is Good Old Games, not Good Old Bonuses.
Stop whining and go play the game. You'll be happy.

I played both games thousand of times. And the thing with the bonuses is not because GOG are obliged to include them, the disappointment and the whole convo is about the fact that they`re including the same content twice, deceiving the people like me, who are buying the game mostly because of these bonuses. If I knew that these contents are repeating, I`d never buy the second chapter on first place, I already have it for years. It`ll be very appropriate if they inform their customers that this content is the same as in the first game. It`d be even better if they didn`t include it at all.

I didn't mean it'll be on sale on GOG, that's why I said Collectors Edition, which I hope they'll release IF there'll be an LBA3. :)

I understood what you meant. I just said that I hope that IF there`ll be a LBA3, it won`t be on sale here.
I agree that the duplicate bonuses is a bit rubbish for someone in your circumstance. It sounds like it's been a poor introduction to GOG (which, in the normal situation when you actually want the games, is in my opinion the best PC game distribution service on the planet).

My experience of their support is a little less enthusiastic, admittedly, so I do hope you get some kind of response. Just assume it probably won't be quick (although it's been quite some time ago since I had cause to contact them, and they might have improved their turnaround time now).

In any case, I would suggest that you write to their support address (as there's a decent chance they're not reading this at all), explain your situation and disappointment, and ask whether they would consider refunding one of the games, or exchanging it for another game from the catalogue.

If they have any brains, they will see the sense in making your experience a happier one.

Unfortunately they still do answer with very big delay (i.e. I bought the first LBA on 13th October, the game didn`t run and I sent a report through the site feedback system and also wrote here, in the forum. The answer came 5 days later, but in the meantime I`ve managed to resolve the problem, thanks to the DosBox forum). As for the bonus materials, days before the LBA2 release I wrote to the support and asked them if it`s possible to add more sketches as bonus materials. The only answer was that they can not discuss this (as all other answers I got, about other stuff I wrote, as like they`ve got some kind of automated system, which tells you 'sorry, but I can`t comment'). At least, they could`ve sent me a mail, when they`ve put LBA2 on sale, that there`s nothing new in the bonus materials. This could`ve save me some money...
