Hi
LBA is one of the games of my childhood, and so is its music. Sometimes I just want to hear it again, and today decided to extract it to add it to my personal media collection. If you are like me, this is for you.
I just want to share what have I do to easily extract this awesome music of this awesome game. No aditional software needed, just GOG version installed.

1) Download and install the game (GOG version)
2) Go to the game folder, and enter DOSBOX.
3) Create here a folder called RIP (use this name for now)
4) Execute DOSBox.exe (not the game, we don't want the game to start).
5) Type those commands on the console, line by line:

mount C ..
imgmount D "..\LBA2.dat" -t iso
mount E rip
C:
copy lba2.ogg E:
D:
cd lba2
cd music
copy *.wav E:
exit

You'll have the music now in WAV format, except menu music which is in OGG format.
6) Rename and move the folder RIP as you wish.

This tutorial will extract every single piece of music, including little ones with a few seconds of duration.
- JADPCM files are the short version of music, the ones you hear ingame.
- LBA2.ogg file is the full menu music (so memories...)
- LOGADPCM.wav is the logo music, very short.
- TADPCM files are the large versions (3-4 minutes each).

Enjoy! And remember: this is for personal use only, don't share!

Thanks for sharing!

Don't forget to play LBA1. ;)
Both soundtracks from LBA and LBA 2 are available on Spotify. I'm not sure these official soundtrack cover all in-game music though, you can verify it in spare moment.

I encourage listening on Spotify, as it supports the composer, Philippe Vachey :-)

I didn't know that, thanks for the link.

I've checked it out. It's the full soundtrack, the same large versions you find on the game folder.

Hello, guys!

This is a very useful thread. I was wondering, due to your evident expertise in the matter, if you know how can I change the preset tracks that are played in each different zone in the game.

I used to have a slightly different version of LBA2 when I was a kid, and I really miss the stage-music combination as I knew it. I'd like to know if achieving this is posible.

Thank you.
I remember back in the day with the original discs you could pop them in the CD player and have the full soundtrack!
