I used to play that game on CD32 and the music was great. After trying gog version I'm so dissapointed that the music is cheap midi...

I actually like the GOG version better :-)

It's a well known fact that until the SB16 the Amiga generally was very superior to the PC when it comes to sound. So I'm not at all surprised.

Ingame music composed with Roland Sound Canvas playback in mind. Amiga CD32 version use prerecorded midi tunes played with that device. Just install Virtual Sound Canvas, set it to default midi device DOSBox or globally in Windows Control Panel, choose SCC1 for music in game setup and you will get same music in game, even little better in minor details.
