After I set up a lan game, the other person tries to join and it comes up with some error about the other person using an older version or something. Any help there?
Both should be the same version and it doesnt matter who hosted.

I too am having troubles getting things to work on a LAN. Game is showing up for other players, but I always get a failed to connect error instantly, and then lose the cursor forcing me to Alt F4 to get out of the game. I guess I'll search the manual and web for any troubleshooting help to get it working.

Have you made sure any firewalls you have are allowing the game to get through?

Ha, well the windows firewall was indeed the issue. I never got any pop up message from the firewall so I assumed it had already been set; and didn't think twice about checking. So on that note, I went ahead and checked inside and it was nowhere to be found in the list. After adding it to the exceptions list it connects just fine.

Umm...... my firewall (and that on the other computer) was the first thing I checked. Is allowed through but still get an older version error on the computer that is trying to join. have tried swapping the host but still no change.

Have either of you by anychance played this game on your computers before picking up this gog version? Its possible if thats the case that one of you has some registry settings that were not fully deleted when you uninstalled it the first time.
