What's weird is they did include KQ6 enhanced and KQ6 regular and they didn't remove the enhanced files although enhanced version doesn't work in dosbox or modern windows. They didn't use scummVM which can handle the enhanced files.
gibbeynator: Has anyone tried contacting GOG about this? It'd be nice if we could hear from their mouths why they didn't include SVGA Larry 6.
Well, I finally got a reply;
"Hello, thank you for your concern, but we already have access to this version. We didn't release it due to technical issues. We just weren't able to make it run swiftly on modern systems.
Regards,
GOG.com Support"
I sent a reply back telling them that I've personally had no issues running it in .74 dosbox, and that it works just as good as KQ7 or SQ6 do in Dosbox on modern computers, they are from about the same generation of SCI as well.
Actually dare I say it, the SVGA Vesa version seems to actually run more efficiently at full screen than the VGA version strangely enough!
I honestly think the problem is that they chose to go with ScummVM in which the game doesn't work at all, and didn't bother to check it on DosBox...
