MidwayCJ: I did all that, but I'm only now noticing it says 'special permissions' that it won't let me change, even as administrator.
I can't find the solution online either, any tips? I think this might be why I can't run Larry.
EDIT: When I was fiddling with the security setting for Larry again, I got this. (attached)
lugum: I have no idea, somehow it is not pointing to the right files, which i think can be edited in some config file.
Changing permissions only make it worse and you should reverse that and it is not necessary.
A workaround might be this to change it into the dosbox version.
http://www.gog.com/forum/leisure_suit_larry_series/lsl_7_dosbox_version Thanks a bunch! I'm gonna try this right now. I hope I don't FUBAR it further, I don't have much experience with Dosbox... and it's been over 2 decades since I used DOS ~_~.
And yeah, the special permissions seemed weird since it just said I needed ownership of the folder, which I have.
EDIT: I think I'm using DOSBox right, but sier.eve isn't working because my system is 32 bit. Is there a 64 bit version?
All attempts to google it just come up with things totally unrelated and I have no idea how to narrow my search.
