JamesBond007: Hello again, ladies and geltelmen. I have good news.

I took my old Larry 6 CD, which contains the SVGA version of the game (both DOS and Windows versions). I was able to install and run DOS version by using DOSBox. It appears to be working almost perfectly on my PC (maybe with some brief loading pauses, because the CD is required to play the game with voice acting). Without a CD the voice acting is missing, but the game loads (no messages like "insert the CD".
Actually you can do a direct copy, of LSL6 CD's contents into a folder of your choice on your hardrive. Then move the "resource.aud" file at out of the "AUD" folder, and slip it into the "HIRES" folder. Then run the 'install' or edit the resource.cfg to get the correct sound settings setup. Then use the "sierra.exe' file to enter the game. It's not that difficult!

No need for the CD at all.

No need for the IMG file either.

If you look at one of the screenshots I put in a earlier post, you'll see all the files you'll need to include to get the HD version working.

So can someone with the CD and understands Dosbox well, create a special shortcut for it and settings file, and offer it to GOG? You know make a shortcut so foolproof that even they'll be able to see it doesn't take a genius to use it? Can be easily adapted into their loader?

Please check your accounts as we have uploaded a new version of our installers (PC and Mac) that include both the SVGA and VGA versions of Leisure Suit Larry 6 :D.
Good thing, GOG, glad to hear!

THanks for the LSL7 too.

Did the new installers switch to dosbox?

Very nice. Thanks. I didn't see the Mac installer flagged as new yet and it is still 1.x but maybe they are a little behind you posting in getting that up?

Oops! I spoke too soon. It's up now. Yay!

I second the thanks for Love for Sail also. Good day for Larry fans! :D

The Mac installer has been updated as well... I think the flags got lost on the way but rest assured it's like the old Prego sauce commercials: it's in there :D

You are so fast Judas! lol

Thank you!
Now we just need the the KQ sets updated with at least KQ1 SCI remake (and hopefully KQ4 AGI, KQ5 Floppy, KQ6 floppy, King's Questions), and Space Quest with the VGA remake (and hopefully SQ4 floppy)!

Keep up the good work!
Awesome! :D

Thanks GOG!
Spiffy!
again, thank you. It's always nice to see that you guys listen to us unlike some other digital retailers.

I have to resist the temptation to change the thread title into something out of The Onion:

"GOG Response to Lack of SVGA LSL6 is to give SVGA LSL6! Read all about it!"
